Join the NHF, Karbon Homes and The Guinness Partnership at the Conservative Party Conference to discuss the vital role social housing can play in shaping our economic stability and growth.

At the upcoming Conservative Party Conference, we will address the crucial economic and political consequences of failing to build enough social housing. Currently, 8.5 million people, including 2 million children, live in overcrowded, unaffordable, or unsuitable homes.

Failing to address this stifles economic growth, increases public expenditure on emergency housing, and further burdens our health services. Investing in social housing can drive significant economic benefits. Building the 90,000 social rented homes needed annually would inject £51.2bn into the UK economy, create 350,000 jobs, and generate a £12bn profit for taxpayers over 30 years.

As the Conservative Party enters a period of reflection and renewal, join us to discuss the vital role social housing can play in shaping our economic stability and growth.

Speakers:

  • Rt Hon Kemi Badenoch MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government (Invited)

  • Kate Henderson, Chief Executive, NHF

  • Jack Lee, Director of Strategy and Policy, The Guinness Partnership

  • Lucy Dixon, Head of External Affairs, Karbon Homes
