Built Environment Public Affairs Consultant

Salary: £24,000-£28,000 (depending on relevant experience)

Location: London (hybrid, currently three days working from Westminster and two days working from home per week)

You will be working with a cross-party, dynamic team with experience in local government, political parties, think tanks, charities, Parliament, media and business with a focus on planning and development public affairs and communications.

We are members of the PRCA and CIPR, hold the Investors in People Gold Standard and maintain the Consultancy Management Standard (CMS). Furthermore, in addition to your line manager, we also provide a dedicated mentor from our experienced team to support you in your career development.

We are looking for candidates to work in our Built Environment team here at Connect. The role will be varied but will centre around supporting developers and builders of housing, employment space and infrastructure to achieve their goals of delivering projects that improve the built environment. 
Whilst previous consultancy experience is desirable, it is not essential. The most important quality we are looking for is a passion for politics and the built environment coupled with a desire to make a career in public affairs. We are considering people for positions at entry level positions which would suit recent graduates, as well as those with previous agency experience looking to take the next step in their careers.


The Job Role  
As an Account Executive you will:

  • Undertake political research that forms the basis of political and stakeholder engagement strategies and campaigns.

​​

  • Support our experienced team of political consultants and engage directly with politicians and community groups across the country. 

​​

  • Work directly for our clients from day one, providing them with reports, research briefings, stakeholder engagement support and political intelligence.
