Adam Thomas
Adam has over five years of experience working in public affairs, campaigns and policy. Adam leads on Connect Training for courses related to local government, housing, regional policy and education, delivering a range of in-house sessions for housing bodies, local authorities and transport bodies. Adam is also an elected councillor in a London Borough authority and has practical experience of the work of local authorities and how they deliver services.
Andrew joined the Connect team in early 2009 and brings with him a wealth of experience of public affairs, campaigning and policy development. He is an experienced trainer and has delivered courses on range of subjects including housing, local government and Coalition policy development. He has also worked in Conservative Central Office as a member of the Conservative Research Department, and is a borough councillor in London.
Emily has been a successful UK public affairs consultant for nearly 15 years and brings a wealth of experience of working with a wide range of organisations across a variety of sectors. Emily has delivered a range of bespoke training and support packages for clients, ranging from running internal communications workshops and priority setting sessions, stakeholder mapping to working with Board members and senior management.
Gill has over 25 years experience of working in public affairs. Her knowledge of the political landscape makes her a leading commentator on what is happening in Westminster and Whitehall. She has particular expertise in social policy development and specialises in housing, homelessness, regeneration issues and regional policy.
James Hawkins
James joined Connect in 2009 bringing over six years experience as a campaigns and public affairs professional. With a background in working for Conservative HQ and for the then shadow Energy Minister before joining Connect, James add key insight into Conservative thinking during training courses of both the policy formulation process and the personalities involved.
Lucy works with a variety of clients in the local government and policing sectors and has delivered a range of bespoke training and support packages for clients, as well as a number of tailored training workshops for young people, helping them to understand how to engage in the political process.
Peter Barrett
Peter works as Political and Media Consultant at Connect and specialises in devising interactive media training workshops for clients wishing to develop their PR and media handling skills.
