Connect Training this week held its most successful training session to date, entitled “What does a Tory Government mean for Housing?”
The session saw a large number of delegates from a range of housing associations, local authorities and private sector bodies, coming together to benefit from our policy expertise and unique insight into the political landscape.
Connect Training has a range of courses scheduled in the coming months, to help you ensure you are ahead of the game, and keep you informed and aware of what the policy-making environment means for you.
We can also put together bespoke training sessions for you and your organisation.

Connect signs up Smith
Connect Public Affairs has recruited former Tory advisor, Andrew Smith, who joins the firm from the manufacturers’ trade association, EEF.
Andrew has ten years’ experience of working in Westminster and Whitehall, having previously worked as political adviser to Alan Duncan MP during his time as Shadow Secretary of State for International Development, Shadow Transport Secretary and Shadow Business Secretary.
Andrew cut his political teeth working in the Conservative Research Department, working on the Home Affairs desk, among others.
Andrew is also a Conservative Westminster City Councillor, having recently won the by-election in Sir Simon Milton’s former ward of Lancaster Gate.
Connect’s MD Gill Morris said, “I’m delighted to welcome Andrew to the Connect team. His experience of Westminster and Whitehall, together with his knowledge of the inner workings of the Conservative Party, means we continue to provide our clients with unparalleled advice and strategic counsel.”
Home Office Minister to speak at Connect Conference
Connect are pleased to announce that Home Office Minister Alan Campbell MP has agreed to open the forthcoming 'Stopping Traffick' conference, looking at the impact of Human Trafficking in Britain, and how we can ensure the Government's strategy works in practice.
