Jennifer studied Modern History at St Catherine's College, Oxford specialising in 20th century politics. She wrote her dissertation on British devolution. After finishing university Jennifer spent two years travelling and working in South America. She worked for a housing NGO and for the political consultancy Delfos in Argentina.

More recently Jennifer worked in the Parliamentary office of Greg Mulholland, MP for Leeds North West, where she focused on a wide range of issues including high speed rail, older people's health and the future of the British pub. She went on to work as Research Assistant to the then Lib Dem Home Affairs Spokesperson Baroness Miller of Chilthorne Domer.

At Connect Jennifer has worked on a range of public affairs clients including the Association of Police Authorities, UNISON and the National Federation of Occupational Pensioners.
