Emily has twelve years Parliamentary and public affairs experience, provides senior counsel to a wide range of clients at Connect, and has a strong track record of delivering strategic advice across a broad range of policy areas. Emily has developed a particular expertise in working with clients on cross cutting issues, looking specifically at how policies across Government impact on and relate to each other. Emily has also worked to develop and deliver a range of successful Parliamentary and political campaign programmes and strategies.

Emily’s areas of policy expertise include employment, education, housing, communities, regeneration and sustainable development. She works on high profile projects, campaigns and events for clients including; UNISON, Places for People, Abbey, the Financial Services Authority and for a range of organisations in the Thames Gateway.

Emily joined Connect following the 1997 General Election, following a two year stint as a researcher to David Blunkett as the Shadow Education and Employment Secretary, Emily also served as Campaign Aide to Stephen Byers MP in the 97 Election and is a former President of Loughborough Students’ Union.
