BA (Hons) in Politics, Philosophy and Economic from St John’s College Oxford, MSc in Nationalism Studies from Edinburgh

Q: What sparked your interest in politics?

My parents, the excitement of our house being transformed into committee rooms on Election Day and riding my BMX to the polling station to pick up polling numbers

Q: When are you happiest?

With friends, red wine and good conversation

Q: Favourite political book?

I love reading but I’m not a fan of political books, with work and local politics that would be too much. Books are about escaping from the day to day stuff

I hate driving, but if you work at Connect or were in Salzburg on a certain day last year you would know all about this

Sarah has particular strengths in planning and housing policy and works for a range of house builders and developers at the local, regional and national level, particularly Astral Developments, Prologis, Parkridge and Barratt Homes. She also has experience of managing stakeholder relations projects and community consultation on planning projects.

Sarah has also has expertise in local government decision making structures and working with “not for profits” clients such as housing associations, including Places for People, Octavia Housing and Care and Presentation.

Sarah brings to public affair projects a developed understanding of media management, and assists Connect’s clients with media training and tailored media contact programmes.

Sarah has a first in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from Oxford University prior to studying for an MSc in Nationalism Studies at Edinburgh Sarah joined Connect from Green Issues Communications where she specialised in locally focused public relations campaigns, stakeholder relations and community consultation for a range of clients in the land development and house building sector.
