The Leeds City Region Summit will launch its pilot programme and provide a unique opportunity to debate the future of the city region with leading businesses, politicians, regional and national stakeholders.
Leeds City Region is one of two pilot city regions announced in this year’s Budget.
The City Region works collaboratively to drive economic growth for more prosperous communities in our area.
The Summit will offer hard-hitting debates, panel discussions and opportunities to challenge what the Partnership’s pilot agenda can do to help the local economy and businesses overcome the effects of current economic trends and make the most out of the future upturn.
It will explore;
how can the Leeds City Region contribute to skills, employment, and the economy?
what will the Leeds City Region do to help the local economy and businesses to overcome the economic downturn?
what role can the public and private sector play in the city region to overcome the challenges ahead?
what are the benefits of city region working to our businesses and our communities?
The Leeds City Region Summit 2009 is a must-attend event for all those with an interest in regional policy and future city region working.
It will bring together over 200 senior delegates from the across the UK, including businesses, local authorities and regional agencies, educational institutions, skills bodies, housing providers and other key partners.
