In 2009 the UK formally ratified the European Convention Against Human Trafficking making it a key priority for the police, social services, the NHS and child protection agencies, and offering significant new protection to trafficking victims.

One year on, how are these provisions working in practice, and do they go far enough? As the UK Border Agency conducts a review of the UK's Action Plan on Tackling Human Trafficking, this session will explore the success of the UK Action Plan to date, the coalition government’s approach to tackling trafficking and other immigration offences, and the changing policy landscape within which agencies are working, asking:
