The next meeting of the All Party Parliamentary Water Group event will be addressed by Lord Smith of Finsbury, Chairman of the Environment Agency.
The meeting will provide an excellent opportunity to discuss with Lord Smith the Agency’s 2010-15 strategy, its role in managing water resources and improving water quality to meet the Water Framework Directive. Lord Smith will also address the major environmental challenges facing the water sector, including flooding and the current Floods and Water Management Bill.
The APPWG is widely recognised among industry, consumer and environmental stakeholders as an active contributor to the policy debate on water issues. The meeting will be attended by key industry stakeholders as well as representatives from leading customer and environmental groups.
We therefore sincerely hope that you will be able to join us for what will be an interesting, timely and necessary session with Lord Smith.
